This recording is of Other People's Words and Starfish.

Out the corner of my eye
In the corner of my room
In the evening light where shadows creep into the night
There's an angel in the gloom

She floats on copper-coloured wings
And her halo is a glow
She tells me sights and scenes of kings and queens
And future dreams
And things she thinks I'd like to know

And sometimes when the stars are bright
Or even when the sky is blue
Sometimes if I close my eyes
Sometimes I can see right through

And all at once she's by my side
She whispers secrets in my ear
"Galileo's round the sun and there's no place to hide"
Yes, the message is quite clear

And all at once I feel a fool
For blowing kisses at the sky
All at once I feel just like I'm still at Sunday school
But I can't get it off my mind

And then suddenly she cries out unexpectedly
"I wish that there was something I could do"
She's so near to me, she scares me with her urgency
I wish that there was something I could do

Me, I might not seem to care
I might rub salt into the wound
I might see problems everywhere
But now they're fishing on the moon

And Galileo's round the sun
And the sun is in her eyes
Galileo's found the frozen moon of Jupiter
And she's got no place left to hide

And we're all staring at the stars
Because the nightmare has begun
Thought we were the chosen few
Now we're not the only ones

And when they cut down through the ice
I know exactly what they'll find
A labelled package saying, "To be opened on the day
Man has left the Earth behind"

And then suddenly she cries out unexpectedly
I wish that there was something I could do
She's so near to me, she scares me with her urgency
I wish that there was something I could do

She drifts lightly through my mind
With the flowers and the birds
And suddenly the consolation that I hoped to find
I find in other people's words

She walks in beauty like the night
Compare her to a Summer's day
And everything I try to write
Lately seems to end this way

On the right side of the shelf
In the corner of my room
There's a picture of myself
And there's that Louis Armstrong tune...
